Early Bird Tickets Closing Soon for Whitsundays Writers Festival

Early Bird ticket prices for the 2026 Whitsundays Writers Festival will close on Tuesday 30 June, giving readers, writers, and festival supporters just days to secure discounted tickets.

Returning to the Whitsunday Marine Club, Cannonvale on Sunday 13 September, the festival will bring together regional authors, emerging voices, and book lovers for a day of conversation, inspiration, and community connection.

Festival Director Richard Evans said the early bird offer was designed to make the festival accessible while encouraging audiences to secure their place early.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming readers and writers from across the region to celebrate local stories and the talented authors who call North Queensland home,” Mr Evans said.

The 2026 programme features the From the Heart keynote address by multi-award-winning romance author Rachel Armstrong, two author panel discussions, the presentation of the Whitsundays Literary Heart Awards, and Stories by the Sea, a free community event featuring more than 20 regional authors, book swaps, live music, and family-friendly activities.

Full Day Tickets include access to all festival sessions, two drink vouchers, a gourmet lunch box, and refreshments.
