Submission Instructions
You are invited to take part in our Stanza Bonanza competition — a creative opportunity to capture the rhythm, beauty, and spirit of the Whitsundays through verse.
Entry Requirements
- Submit an original poem of up to 20 lines
- Your poem should respond to the prompt:
“A Whitsundays postcard from 100 years ago, or 100 years from now.” - Entries must be unpublished and your own work
Key Dates
- Submissions must be completed via the online form on the festival website
Prize
- $100 cash prize
- Complimentary day pass to the 2026 Whitsundays Writers Festival (Sunday 13 September 2026)
We encourage writers of all levels to participate whether you’re just starting out or have been writing for years.
